Làser is an ephemeral installation that traces through light, a tridimensional track over the streets in Barcelona.

Laser was born as the speculative idea of new urban lightning. What if our streets have no lamps anymore, and instead there is a single light line that illuminates and even draws visually the way the city is organised? Understanding how disruptive the use of the laser can be, and yet using it as a new traffic light. For us was bringing into life a common imaginary place of a futuristic urban vision by using the laser, and open the door to try and imagine how will it look in other cities.

Within the framework of the festival we used 7 cranes in order to install 2 long distance laser equipments, and 5 mirrors, this helped us to make it work as a guide for the visitants, and even explore the capacity of the laser range while projecting it into the sky.

Installed in the streets: Badajoz, Sancho d’Àvila and Pere IV
